As networks evolve, there is an overwhelming need to converge applications and devices into a single, well-defined architecture. With over 130 million broadband lines, one billion mobile phones, and the multitude of applications (e-mail, IPTV, instant messaging, gaming, VoIP, etc.), people are looking towards convergence to help simplify their lives.
IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) — the architecture for next-generation networks developed by communications standards bodies — is here to meet this demand. Designed for carriers to offer unified services around voice, data and other circuit-switched and packet-based traffic, IMS will enable wireless and wireline carriers to add value for their customers, and stay competitive against pure Internet-based services.
Spirent Communications' IMS Technology & Testing introduces you to the core technologies and architecture of typical IMS-based networks. This free, half-day seminar features live tests with Spirent solutions to demonstrate IMS technology in action and IMS test methodologies. By the end of the presentation, you will have a good undestanding of the key components that make up an IMS network.
